She consults and speaks extensively in the areas of career development, talent/organisational development, transition, and change management.
Helena has held positions in senior HR, with 25 years Coaching and HR experience across a broad range of industries. Specifically: Information Technology, Manufacturing, (Metals and Plastics) Sales, Customer Service, Call Centre's, Logistics, Engineering, Healthcare, Airlines, Local and State Government.
Helena is famous for her public and corporate Career workshops “Careerguru”, which are unique and deliver powerful clarity for career direction, career identity, and career transition. Careerguru workshops specialise in seeking out the “inner guru” and talent from within. The program career audits and empowers people of all ages in career transition, re directing careers for executives, starting your own business, and individuals looking for career pathways.
She is currently a Director of Career Values Pty Ltd. Prior to this she was a Director and Principal Coach of The Open Door Coaching Group, (ODCG) an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Coach Training Company. ODCG pioneered the first Workplace Coaching qualifications within Australia.
In 2001 – 2002 Helena handled the largest corporate collapse in Australia’s history. One of the last senior HR people standing, she was the first port of call for 17,000 redundant stoodown employees by working with the Ansett Administrators for over twelve months to close Ansett Airlines, an icon Australian firm. This she describes as “my own watershed year that changed my life”.
Some of her business roles have included; General Manager HR Ansett/Air New Zealand, Manager for Corporate HR residing in Auckland NZ for Air New Zealand; and HR Manager Ansett International Airlines, National HR Manager for a US multinational; Personnel Manager for a UK metals manufacturer, and Personnel Officer.
She is the former Victorian President for the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) elected in 2004 and 2005, and is a current AHRI Fellow.
